Moor Monkton Marchers

Our inaugural walk took place on 16th January 2017, where we enjoyed a pleasant (7 km) walk around the nature reserve at Stavely followed by (a long and for some dry) lunch at the General Tarleton pub just down the road at Ferrensby.

The plan is to walk on the second Sunday of each month. See the Clubs page for more details and prospective dates.

Happy New Year to all our followers !

Phone Box Competition

Fully Juiced up !

The juicing weekends have proved very popular with about 500 litres of juice being pressed over the two weekends from locally grown apples

Thanks to all at Red House Estates for hosting the events and working tirelessly to help make the events such a success.

In addition to villagers, we also welcomed visitors from the neighbouring parishes of Healaugh, Long Marson, Tockwith and Whixley and travellers from as far away as Huddersfield.

Fishing Competition.

Great fun was had by young and the “not so young” alike at our first Family Fun Fishing day on 4th June.

Coming to a 'Main Street' Near You!

This was on the 8th July. These BT Openreach Guys were laying the spine from Lane End up to the corner of Main Street. They were then going to continue all the way up Main Street. They confirmed that this was FTTP (for those that wanted it) at 100MB. No timescales for ordering, but can't be that far off now.

Learn how to save someone's life.
